Stat. tit. 74, § 74-1732","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this act:\n\n1. “Agency” means any executive branch entity of state\n\ngovernment, including agencies that do not receive direct\n\nappropriations from the Oklahoma Legislature;\n\n2. “Eligible employee” means a person who is a full-time\n\nemployee of an agency and who incurred a debt pursuant to the\n\nobligations under a qualified education loan;\n\n3. “Qualified education loan” means a debt owed by the employee\n\nto any private or public entity for which repayment is legally\n\nrequired over a period greater than one (1) year; the proceeds from\n\nwhich were used by the employee to make payment of tuition, fees, or\n\nother education expenses, such as books and materials, to an\n\ninstitution of higher learning, including any private college or\n\nuniversity for course work to obtain an undergraduate or graduate\n\ndegree; and\n\n4. “Required payback period” means two thousand (2,000) hours\n\nof full-time employment with the payor agency for each Five Thousand\n\nDollars ($5,000.00) of qualified education loan expense paid for by\n\nthe agency.","path":["OK Code","Title 74"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os74.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"210c4208263410e1e500d62c570ad0ff6bff48b2b90a5d896a459f293f6be4a6","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-1731","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-1733"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
