There is hereby created within the Office of the Attorney\n\nGeneral a Victims Services Unit.\n\nB. The duty of the Unit is to provide services for persons who\n\nrequire domestic violence or sexual assault services through a\n\ndomestic violence or sexual assault program.\n\nC. As used in this act, “domestic violence program” or “sexual\n\nassault program” means an agency, organization, facility, or person\n\nthat offers, provides or engages in the offering of any shelter,\n\nresidential services or support services to:\n\n1. Victims or survivors of domestic abuse as defined in Section\n\n60.1 of Title 22 of the Oklahoma Statutes, any dependent children of\n\nsuch victim or survivor, and any other member of the family or\n\nhousehold of such victim or survivor;\n\n2. Victims or survivors of sexual assault;\n\n3. Persons who are homeless as a result of domestic abuse or\n\nsexual assault or both domestic abuse and sexual assault; and\n\n4. Victims of stalking,\n\nand which may provide other services including, but not limited to,\n\ncounseling, case management, referrals or other similar services to\n\nvictims or survivors of domestic abuse, sexual assault or stalking.\n\nD. As used in this act, “batterers intervention program” or\n\n“batterers treatment program” means an agency, organization,\n\nfacility, or person who offers, provides or engages in the offering\n\nof counseling or intervention services to persons who commit\n\ndomestic abuse.\n\nE. For any county in which there is more than one sexual\n\nassault program, domestic violence program, or batterers\n\nintervention program and one or more of the programs operates a\n\nshelter program, only the program or programs operating a shelter\n\nprogram shall receive grants or funding from the Victim Services\n\nUnit collected pursuant to subsection F of Section 153 of Title 28\n\nof the Oklahoma Statutes and Section 2368.22 of Title 68 of the\n\nOklahoma Statutes.","path":["OK Code","Title 74"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os74.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"232bdcb6c66adc7be84c5bc8b4c3f953111ce636eeb0ee22df2206c5fb90e344","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-18n-2","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-18p-10"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
