The Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Commission shall be an\n\nadvisory body to the Executive Director of the Oklahoma Tourism and\n\nRecreation Department and shall consist of eight (8) members who\n\nshall serve a term of six (6) years. Effective January 14, 2019,\n\nall duties and powers of the Commission shall be transferred to the\n\nExecutive Director. Any provision in statute that provides to the\n\nCommission authority that is not advisory in nature shall be deemed\n\nto grant the duty or power to the Executive Director. No more than\n\none Commission member shall be from any one county. The Lieutenant\n\nGovernor shall serve as an ex officio voting member of the\n\nCommission.\n\nB. One member shall be appointed from each congressional\n\ndistrict, who shall be a resident and a qualified elector in the\n\ndistrict from which appointed, and the remaining members shall be\n\nappointed from the state at large. If congressional districts are\n\nredrawn each member appointed shall complete the current term of\n\noffice at which time a new appointment shall be made in compliance\n\nwith the redrawn congressional district.\n\nC. Commission members shall be appointed by the Governor, with\n\nthe advice and consent of the Senate, and shall serve at the\n\npleasure of the Governor. Whenever a vacancy on the Commission\n\noccurs by death, resignation, or otherwise, the Governor shall fill\n\nthe same by appointment, with the advice and consent of the Senate,\n\nand the appointee shall hold office during the unexpired term. Each\n\nmember shall hold office until a successor has been appointed and\n\nqualified.\n\nD.
