Stat. tit. 74, § 74-2215","heading":"Division of State Parks - Duties","body":"The Division of State Parks shall, subject to the policies and\n\nrules of the Commission:\n\n1. Conserve, preserve, plan, supervise, construct, enlarge,\n\nreduce, improve, maintain, equip and operate parkland and public\n\nrecreation facilities including, but not limited to, lodges, cabins,\n\ncamping sites, scenic trails, picnic sites, golf courses, boating,\n\nand swimming facilities under the jurisdiction and control of the\n\nCommission. All facilities in state parks shall be reasonably\n\nnecessary and useful in promoting the public use of state parks and\n\nshall be in accord with the resource management plan for the\n\nrespective park;\n\n2. Supervise the management and use of state properties and\n\nfacilities under the jurisdiction of the Commission, with an\n\nemphasis on conserving, protecting, and enhancing the natural,\n\necological, historic, cultural, and other resources contained in\n\neach park and to provide for the public enjoyment of and access to\n\nthese resources in a manner which will protect them for future\n\ngenerations;\n\n3. Formulate, establish, maintain, and periodically review with\n\npublic participation a resource management plan for each state park.\n\nThe resource management plan, upon approval by the Commission, shall\n\nbe considered a guide for the development, utilization, protection,\n\nand management of the state park and its natural, cultural,\n\nhistoric, and recreational resources;\n\n4. Authorize those employees in the Park Manager job family\n\nclassification series, as established by the Office of Management\n\nand Enterprise Services, to maintain administrative control over all\n\nfacilities, programs, operations, services, and employees in the\n\npark to which they are assigned; and\n\n5. Enforce the rules and policies governing the use of and\n\nconduct of patrons in all recreational facilities and properties of\n\nthe Commission.
