Stat. tit. 74, § 74-2301","heading":"Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department - Water","body":"Quality Disclosure Duties.\n\nA. The Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department shall develop\n\nand maintain a website and provide written information for the\n\npublic available on location that allows the public to check the\n\nwater quality, as it adversely affects human and mammalian animal\n\nhealth, of recreational bodies of water in this state which are\n\nmanaged by state or federal agencies or entities. The website and\n\nwritten information shall be made available to the public on or\n\nbefore December 31, 2012, and shall provide internet links and other\n\npoints of contacts for relevant state agencies.\n\nB. Any state or municipal agency with authority to manage a\n\nrecreational lake or reservoir in this state shall post signs at\n\nmajor access points for the body of water stating that information\n\non water quality is available on the website or in the written\n\ninformation specified in subsection A of this section. The Oklahoma\n\nTourism and Recreation Department shall develop and provide the\n\nlanguage for the signs required by this subsection.\n\nC. The State Department of Health shall provide to physicians,\n\nhospital personnel, and local health departments educational\n\nmaterial and information on the effects and symptoms of exposure to\n\nblue-green algae.\n\nD. 1. Any state or municipal agency with authority to manage a\n\nrecreational lake or reservoir in this state, to regulate water\n\nquality or regulate public health shall:\n\na. issue advisories for blue-green algae for recreational\n\nlakes or reservoirs only when both the blue-green\n\nalgae cell count and toxicity testing results exceed\n\nthe World Health Organization guidelines for moderate\n\nprobability of adverse health effects of one hundred\n\nthousand (100,000) cells per milliliter for cell count\n\nand twenty (20) micrograms per liter for microcystin\n\ntoxin levels. The blue-green algae testing shall be\n\nconducted at predetermined locations which are\n\npublished along with the testing results, and\n\nb. lift advisories for blue-green algae for recreational\n\nlakes or reservoirs if the blue-green algae cell count\n\nand toxicity testing results are below guidelines as\n\nset forth in subparagraph a of this paragraph for two\n\nconsecutive tests taken at weekly intervals within\n\nthirty (30) calendar days of each other.\n\n2. The blue-green algae cell count and toxicity testing results\n\nas described in this subsection may be provided by a public or\n\nprivate entity.\n\nE. Any state or municipal agency with authority to manage a\n\nrecreational body of water in this state, to regulate water quality\n\nor regulate public health and which may issue blue-green algae lake\n\nadvisories shall recognize publicly and privately funded research if\n\nthe research is scientifically verifiable and it will ensure that\n\nthe public is more informed about water quality and safety. The\n\nOklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department may publish the findings\n\nof the research on the website or in written information specified\n\nin subsection A of this section.\n\nF. For purposes of this section:\n\n1. \"State or municipal agency\" means any agency, board,\n\ncommission, department, authority, office, subdivision or\n\ninstrumentality of the state or a municipality located in the state;\n\nand\n\n2. \"Recreational lake or reservoir\" means a lake or reservoir\n\non which the public is allowed to fish, boat or swim.\n\nG.
