The Oklahoma Golf Trail Commission shall consist of nine (9)\n\nmembers, each of whom shall serve a term of six (6) years.\n\nB. Five members shall be appointed by the Lieutenant Governor,\n\ntwo members shall be appointed by the Speaker of the Oklahoma House\n\nof Representatives, and two members shall be appointed by the\n\nPresident Pro Tempore of the Oklahoma State Senate.\n\nMembers selected to the Commission must be knowledgeable about\n\nthe Oklahoma golf industry including:\n\n1. Golf course marketing;\n\n2. Golf course ownership;\n\n3. Golf course management; or\n\n4. Tourism and commerce in Oklahoma.\n\nC. Commission members may be removed for cause. Whenever a\n\nvacancy on the Commission occurs by death, resignation, or\n\notherwise, the appointing authority shall fill the same by\n\nappointment, and the appointee shall hold office during the\n\nunexpired term. Each member shall hold office until a successor has\n\nbeen appointed.\n\nD. Five members of the Commission shall constitute a quorum,\n\nand the vote of the majority of members present shall be necessary\n\nfor any action to be taken by the Commission.\n\nE. No vacancy in the membership of the Commission shall impair\n\nthe rights of a quorum to exercise and perform all the rights and\n\nduties of the Commission.\n\nF. The Commission shall appoint from the Commission members a\n\nchair, vice-chair, and secretary.\n\nG. The Commission is authorized and directed to adopt rules\n\npursuant to the provisions of the Administrative Procedures Act to\n\nexecute the powers and duties of the Commission.\n\nH. The Commission may meet monthly and shall meet at least\n\nquarterly. The Commission may meet at such other times as it deems\n\nnecessary for effectively performing its duties and\n\nresponsibilities. Special meetings may be called by the chair or by\n\nany three members of the Commission. The meetings of the Commission\n\nshall be subject to the Oklahoma Open Meeting Act.\n\nI. The Commission is hereby declared to be a governmental\n\nagency and instrumentality of the State of Oklahoma with authority\n\nto exercise the rights, privileges, and functions hereinafter\n\nspecified in addition to those it now has.\n\nJ. The Commission shall evaluate and approve a list of not less\n\nthan fifteen but not more than twenty-five golf courses annually to\n\nbe listed as the official Oklahoma Golf Trail for tourism and\n\nmarketing purposes. The list shall be reviewed every year for\n\nrenewal of approval.\n\nK.
