Stat. tit. 74, § 74-3114","heading":"State officials and employees prohibited from soliciting","body":"or accepting contributions for candidates.\n\nNo elected or appointed state official, his employees or others\n\nin behalf and for said elected or appointed state official, shall,\n\ndirectly or indirectly, solicit or accept contributions from\n\nemployees in said department or agency for the benefit of or in\n\nbehalf of any person who is a candidate for other political office.\n\n(a) Violation of this section, upon resolution of the\n\nLegislature or either house thereof, shall be prosecuted by the\n\nappropriate district attorney, provided the appropriate district\n\nattorney shall have authority on his own motion to prosecute said\n\nviolation in the absence of legislative resolution.\n\nUpon conviction for violation of this section, the\n\nstate official or any employee adjudged guilty, shall be immediately\n\nremoved from office or position and shall be subject to bond\n\nforfeiture or so much thereof as necessary to reimburse the State of\n\nOklahoma for monies wrongfully expended because of said violation.\n\nIn event the Legislature or the appropriate District Attorney fails\n\nto act within a reasonable time, then any citizen taxpayer may\n\ninstitute suit and upon successful prosecution of the violation,\n\nlike penalties are to attach.","path":["OK Code","Title 74"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os74.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"1084a6c60bfe2cd0440d71e82b16d2139396a4b3f21628a5831934427839af1d","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-3113.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-3116"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
