The Oklahoma Council on Firefighter Training is hereby\n\nabolished and all powers, duties and responsibilities of the\n\nOklahoma Council on Firefighter Training shall be transferred to the\n\nOffice of the State Fire Marshal. All equipment, vehicles, records,\n\nfurniture and fixtures of the Oklahoma Council on Firefighter\n\nTraining shall be turned over to the Office of the State Fire\n\nMarshal by January 1, 2018. Any unexpended balance of the Oklahoma\n\nCouncil on Firefighter Training's operational funds as of January 1,\n\n2018, shall be transferred to the State Fire Marshal Revolving Fund.\n\nB. There is hereby established within the Office of the State\n\nFire Marshal, the Firefighter Training Advisory Committee.\n\nC. The Committee shall consist of representatives of the\n\nOklahoma State Fire Service, with the total number and length of\n\nappointments to be determined by the State Fire Marshal Commission.\n\nD. The Committee shall:\n\n1. Advise and assist the State Fire Marshal Commission in\n\nidentifying firefighter training needs and setting the firefighter\n\ntraining goals for the State of Oklahoma;\n\n2. Advise and assist the State Fire Marshal Commission in\n\ninteracting with the Homeland Security Department's Preparedness and\n\nAwareness Division on firefighter training and grants;\n\n3. Advise and assist the State Fire Marshal Commission in\n\nadministering and maintaining the incentive and recognition programs\n\nestablished for Oklahoma firefighters; and\n\n4. Advise and assist the State Fire Marshal Commission in\n\nensuring that the state has consistent basic and continuing\n\neducation programs that include steps for all ranks or positions of\n\ncareer and volunteer firefighters, by setting minimum standards for\n\ncareer, recommended levels for volunteer, identifying training\n\nprograms and courses required for fire service members to achieve\n\nthose levels.\n\nE. The Committee shall assist the State Fire Marshal Commission\n\nin advising the Governor, the Speaker of the House of\n\nRepresentatives, the President Pro Tempore of the State Senate and\n\nthe Oklahoma State Fire Service on fire and emergency service\n\ntraining needs for the state. The State Fire Marshal Commission\n\nshall submit an annual report or recommendations regarding fire and\n\nemergency service training needs to the Governor, the Speaker of the\n\nHouse of Representatives and the President Pro Tempore of the State\n\nSenate not later than December 31 each year.\n\nF.
