Stat. tit. 74, § 74-427","heading":"Functions of commission","body":"It shall be the function of this Commission:\n\n(1) To carry forward the participation of this state as a member\n\nof the Council of State Governments.\n\n(2) To encourage and assist legislative, executive,\n\nadministrative and judicial officials and employees of this state to\n\ndevelop and maintain friendly contact by correspondence, by\n\nconference and otherwise with officials and employees of the other\n\nstates of the federal government and of local units of government.\n\n(3) To endeavor to advance cooperation between this state and\n\nother units of government whenever it seems advisable to do so by\n\nformulating proposals for, and by facilitating:\n\n(a) The adoption of compacts.\n\n(b) The enactment of uniform or reciprocal statutes.\n\n(c) The adoption of uniform or reciprocal administrative rules\n\nand regulations.\n\n(d) The informal cooperation of governmental offices with one\n\nanother.\n\n(e) The personal cooperation of governmental officials and\n\nemployees with one another, individually.\n\n(f) The interchange and clearance of research and information.\n\n(g) Any other suitable process.\n\n(4) In short, to do all such acts as will, in the opinion of\n\nthis Commission, enable this state to do its part - or more than its\n\npart - in forming a more perfect union among the various governments\n\nof the United States and in developing the Council of State\n\nGovernments for that purpose.","path":["OK Code","Title 74"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os74.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"71bc53da59281f1873391c22198d20fa0d25c5a43119b617fc58aba87b45b0ae","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-4262","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-428"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
