There is hereby created the Oklahoma Advisory Committee on\n\nIntergovernmental Relations which shall be an advisory committee to\n\nthe Oklahoma Legislature.\n\nB. The Oklahoma Advisory Committee on Intergovernmental\n\nRelations shall be composed as follows:\n\n1. One elected municipal official or designee from a\n\nmunicipality with a population of less than fifty thousand (50,000)\n\npersons, one elected municipal official or designee from a\n\nmunicipality with a population of fifty thousand (50,000) persons or\n\nmore and one elected county official, all of whom shall be appointed\n\nby the Speaker of the House of Representatives;\n\n2. One elected municipal official or designee from a\n\nmunicipality with a population of less than fifty thousand (50,000)\n\npersons, one elected municipal official or designee from a\n\nmunicipality with a population of fifty thousand (50,000) persons or\n\nmore and one elected county official, all of whom shall be appointed\n\nby the President Pro Tempore of the Senate;\n\n3. The President of the Oklahoma County Officers Association or\n\ndesignee;\n\n4. The President of the Oklahoma Association of County\n\nCommissioners or designee;\n\n5. The President of the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma\n\nMunicipal League or designee;\n\n6. The members of the Oklahoma Congressional Delegation or\n\nstaff members designated by the members of the delegation;\n\n7. Four members of the House of Representatives who shall be\n\nappointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives;\n\n8. Four members of the Senate who shall be appointed by the\n\nPresident Pro Tempore of the Senate;\n\n9. The Director of the State Department of Transportation or\n\ndesignee;\n\n10. The Chairman of the Oklahoma Tax Commission or designee;\n\n11. The Governor or designee; and\n\n12. The President of the Oklahoma State School Board Association or\n\ndesignee.\n\nC. The terms of office of the members appointed by the Speaker\n\nof the House of Representatives and the members appointed by the\n\nPresident Pro Tempore of the Senate shall be two (2) years.\n\nLegislative members currently serving on the Committee may serve\n\nuntil July 1, 1996. Legislative members may be reappointed to\n\nsuccessive office for one additional term.\n\nD. The chairman and vice-chairman of the Committee shall be\n\ndesignated by the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the\n\nPresident Pro Tempore of the Senate as provided for in this\n\nsubsection. The appointment of the chairman and vice-chairman shall\n\nbe from the legislators appointed to the Committee. The Speaker of\n\nthe House of Representatives shall designate the initial chairman\n\nwho shall serve until the convening of the First Regular Session of\n\nthe 42nd Oklahoma Legislature. The President Pro Tempore of the\n\nSenate shall designate the initial vice-chairman who shall serve\n\nuntil the convening of the First Regular Session of the 42nd\n\nOklahoma Legislature. Thereafter, the chairmanship shall alternate\n\nevery two (2) years between the House of Representatives and the\n\nSenate, beginning with the convening of the First Regular Session of\n\nthe Legislature. In the event of the absence or disability of both\n\nthe chairman and the vice-chairman, the members of the Committee\n\nshall elect a temporary chairman by a majority vote of those present\n\nand voting.\n\nE. The appointed members of the Committee shall serve at the\n\npleasure of the appointing authority.\n\nF. Any legislative members of the Advisory Committee shall be\n\nreimbursed for their necessary travel incurred in the performance of\n\ntheir duties pursuant to Section 456 of Title 74 of the Oklahoma\n\nStatutes. Nonlegislative members of the Advisory Committee shall\n\nreceive necessary travel expenses incurred in the performance of\n\ntheir duties according to provisions of the State Travel\n\nReimbursement Act. All such travel reimbursement authorized by this\nthe performance of\n\ntheir duties pursuant to Section 456 of Title 74 of the Oklahoma\n\nStatutes. Nonlegislative members of the Advisory Committee shall\n\nreceive necessary travel expenses incurred in the performance of\n\ntheir duties according to provisions of the State Travel\n\nReimbursement Act. All such travel reimbursement authorized by this\n\nsubsection shall be paid by the Legislative Service Bureau.\n\nG.
