Authorized persons traveling on official state business\n\noutside of the State of Oklahoma may utilize appropriate forms of\n\ntransportation, including but not limited to, common carriers,\n\ntransit system carriers, state owned or privately owned motor\n\nvehicles or airplanes, contract rental motor vehicles, commuter\n\nairplanes, or transportation by private parties to reach their\n\ndestinations.\n\nB. 1. Except as otherwise provided by this section,\n\nreimbursement for out of state transportation costs as authorized by\n\nthis section shall not exceed the normal charge for the type of\n\ntransportation used, but in no instance shall reimbursement for\n\ntransportation used in lieu of commercial airplane exceed the cost\n\nof coach or economy class air fare.\n\n2. Reimbursement for travel by commercial airplane on a first-\n\nclass basis may be made if coach or economy class space is not\n\navailable within a reasonable time and is justified by attachment to\n\nclaim for reimbursement.\n\n3. Claims for reimbursement for transportation by commercial\n\nairline shall be accompanied by the passenger's airline receipt\n\nwhich includes information as to class of accommodation for which\n\nreimbursement is claimed.\n\n4. If commuter airlines are the only airlines available to\n\nreach a destination, reimbursement for transportation used in lieu\n\nof commuter air fare shall not exceed the cost of the commuter air\n\nfare.\n\nC. Reimbursement for authorized use of privately owned motor\n\nvehicles or vehicles from motor vehicle rental agencies used for\n\nout-of-state travel shall be limited to the actual cost for such\n\nvehicle but in no instance shall reimbursement for such vehicle\n\nexceed the cost for commercial coach or economy class air fare or\n\ncommuter air fare, whichever is appropriate. Distances for which\n\nreimbursement for use of privately owned motor vehicles or vehicles\n\nfrom vehicle rental agencies is claimed shall not exceed distances\n\nas computed by a Global Positioning System (GPS) or based on map and\n\nvicinity business mileage set forth in a recognized published\n\nnational atlas or road map.
