Stat. tit. 74, § 74-5090.1","heading":"Legislative Evaluation and Development Committee —","body":"Duties — Membership.\n\nA. There is hereby created within the Legislature the\n\nLegislative Evaluation and Development Committee. The Legislative\n\nEvaluation and Development Committee shall review financing for\n\nindividual incentive packages including, but not limited to,\n\npackages offering tax incentives, funds for economic development,\n\nand, when the annual investment exceeds Twenty Million Dollars\n\n($20,000,000.00), excluding funding from existing incentives for any\n\nbusiness, new or existing currently in this state, or when one or\n\nmore of the incentives in the incentive package is not authorized\n\nunder current law or an amendment by the Legislature is being sought\n\nto one or more currently existing incentives included in the\n\nincentive package. In addition to the required review of certain\n\nincentive packages as prescribed by this section, the Committee may,\n\nin its discretion, also review potential economic development\n\nprojects presented by private sector businesses or state or other\n\npolitical subdivision authorities which would be financed by public\n\nfunds.\n\nB. The Legislative Evaluation and Development Committee shall\n\nevaluate and propose economic projects provided by the Division on\n\nEconomic Development, Growth, and Expansion within the Oklahoma\n\nDepartment of Commerce. The Committee shall consist of:\n\n1. Four members of the Senate to be appointed by the President\n\nPro Tempore of the Senate, one of whom shall be from the minority\n\nparty; and\n\n2. Four members of the House of the Representatives to be\n\nappointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, one of\n\nwhom shall be from the minority party.\n\nThe President Pro Tempore of the Senate, or his or her designee,\n\nand the Speaker of the House of Representatives, or his or her\n\ndesignee, shall serve as co-chairs for the Committee.\n\nC. The quorum of the Committee shall consist of at least five\n\nmembers. Meetings of the Committee shall be governed by joint rules\n\nof the Legislature. Members of the Committee may receive\n\nreimbursement from the Legislative Service Bureau for actual and\n\nnecessary expenses incurred in connection with their duties as\n\nmembers of the Committee in accordance with other provisions of law\n\nrelating to travel reimbursement for members of the Legislature.\n\nMembers serving on this Committee shall submit to nondisclosure\n\nagreements and adhere to the confidentiality of the material\n\ndiscussed in meetings that affects the economic development of this\n\nstate.","path":["OK Code","Title 74"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os74.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"f581b60a4bd7b157343503d37fadef5926dbf44773c89d7cfdf5b5027a6ae538","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-5090","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-5090.2"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
