For purposes of this section:\n\n1. “Biotechnology company of concern” means an entity\n\ndesignated by the federal government to be under the control of a\n\nforeign adversary and that poses a risk to national security based\n\non the company’s research of multiomic data collection; and\n\n2. “Multiomics” means a biological analysis method that\n\ncombines data from multiple research areas, including, but not\n\nlimited to, genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, epigenomics, and\n\nmetabolomics in order to gain a comprehensive understanding of\n\ncomplex biological processes.\n\nB.
