There is hereby re-created the Oklahoma Strategic Military\n\nPlanning Commission.\n\nB. The Oklahoma Strategic Military Planning Commission shall\n\nconsist of nine (9) members as follows:\n\n1. Five persons to be appointed by the Governor, each of whom\n\nshall represent, respectively, the interests of communities that\n\nwould be affected by realignment or closure of the following\n\nmilitary installations:\n\na. Altus Air Force Base,\n\nb. Vance Air Force Base,\n\nc. Fort Sill,\n\nd. the Army Ammunition Plant located near McAlester, and\n\ne. Tinker Air Force Base;\n\n2. One person to be appointed by the Speaker of the House of\n\nRepresentatives from the membership of the House and one person to\n\nbe appointed by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate from the\n\nmembership of the Senate. The members appointed pursuant to this\n\nparagraph shall be ex officio and nonvoting members of the\n\nCommission; and\n\n3. The Secretary of Veterans Affairs, or successor member of\n\nthe Governor's Executive Cabinet who has responsibility for Veterans\n\nAffairs, and the Adjutant General of the Oklahoma Army and Air\n\nNational Guard. The members appointed pursuant to this paragraph\n\nshall be ex officio and nonvoting members of the Commission.\n\nC. The members of the Commission shall serve at the pleasure of\n\nthe appointing authority. The members of the Commission shall\n\nselect from among their membership a chair and vice-chair. The\n\nchair and vice-chair shall serve for a period of one (1) year and\n\nmay succeed themselves in office.\n\nD. The Commission shall be subject to the provisions of the\n\nOklahoma Open Meeting Act and the Oklahoma Open Records Act.\n\nE. The Commission shall be authorized to meet at such times as\n\nmay be required in order to fulfill the duties and responsibilities\n\nimposed upon it by law.\n\nF. The provisions of this section shall cease to have the force\n\nand effect of law and the Commission shall be dissolved by operation\n\nof law on December 31, 2025.\n\nG.
