Stat. tit. 74, § 74-593","heading":"Bonds required of appointees and employees - Conditions -","body":"Premiums.\n\nState officers, boards and commissions, subject to the approval\n\nof the State Budget Director, shall require bonds of any persons\n\nthey appoint or employ, when deemed necessary to protect the state\n\nagainst loss or misapplication of public funds. Unless otherwise\n\nprovided by law, each such bond shall be by a surety company\n\nlicensed to do business in Oklahoma, shall be made payable to the\n\nState of Oklahoma, shall be conditioned that the person making the\n\nbond will faithfully perform the duties of his position, shall be in\n\nsuch amount as may be fixed by the state officer, board or\n\ncommission requiring the bond, and upon a breach thereof shall be\n\nsued upon in the name of the State of Oklahoma by the Attorney\n\nGeneral when the same is called to his attention; and the premium\n\nthereon shall be paid from funds appropriated or available for\n\noperation of the office of the state officer, or of the board or\n\ncommission, requiring the bond, or for the operation of the office\n\nof the state officer, or of the board or commission, requiring the\n\nbond, or for the operation of the institution, if any, where or for\n\nwhich the person making the bond is employed.","path":["OK Code","Title 74"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os74.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"12d279ccafc0dbb8a891de6e30c1ebcf067b7ed2a67e7345b04aeecec953c58c","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-592","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-594"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
