Stat. tit. 74, § 74-6112","heading":"Coordination with representatives from Texas – Report","body":"concerning joint action.\n\nA. The Red River Boundary Commission shall confer and act in\n\nconjunction with the representatives to be appointed on behalf of\n\nthe State of Texas for the following purposes:\n\n1. To evaluate the methods, surveys, historical maps, and other\n\ninformation used to establish the boundary line between this state\n\nand the State of Texas in the Texoma Area, as such area is defined\n\nin the Texoma Area Boundary Agreement;\n\n2. To determine the location of the south bank of the Red River\n\nas the bank was located and marked by the United States Army Corps\n\nof Engineers before the beginning of construction of Lake Texoma, in\n\naccordance with subsection C of Article II of Section 6106 of Title\n\n74 of the Oklahoma Statutes;\n\n3. To redraw the boundary line between this state and the State\n\nof Texas on any real property for which the United States Army Corps\n\nof Engineers granted an easement, prior to August 31, 2000, to at\n\nleast two districts or authorities created under Section 59 of\n\nArticle XVI of the Texas Constitution for the construction,\n\noperation, and maintenance of a water pipeline and related\n\nfacilities in the Texoma Area in order to negate any effects the\n\nboundary as it is currently drawn has on property interests\n\nassociated with such easements in the Texoma Area, and to redraw the\n\nboundary on such real property so that there is no net loss of\n\nproperty between either state so as to ensure that the redrawn\n\nboundary does not increase the political power or influence of\n\neither state, in accordance with:\n\na. the Lake Texoma preconstruction survey of the south\n\nbank of the Red River prepared by the United States\n\nArmy Corps of Engineers, or\n\nb. other historical records or documentation of the\n\nUnited States Army Corps of Engineers identifying the\n\nlocation of the south bank of the Red River, if the\n\nsurvey described by subparagraph a of this paragraph\n\nis unavailable;\n\n4. To hold hearings and conferences in this state and in the\n\nState of Texas as necessary to accomplish the purposes of this act;\n\nand\n\n5. To take other action, alone or in cooperation with the State\n\nof Texas or the United States, necessary to accomplish the purposes\n\nof this act.\n\nB. No later than January 15, 2022, the Commission shall report\n\nto the Governor, the Lieutenant Governor, the President Pro Tempore\n\nof the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and\n\nappropriate committees of the Legislature the Commission's findings\n\nand recommendations concerning joint action by this state and the\n\nState of Texas regarding the amendment of the Texoma Area Boundary\n\nAgreement to incorporate the boundary between this state and the\n\nState of Texas in the Texoma Area as redrawn. No later than July\n\n30, 2025, the Commission shall issue a final report to the Governor,\n\nthe Lieutenant Governor, the President Pro Tempore of the Senate,\n\nthe Speaker of the House of Representatives, and appropriate\n\ncommittees of the Legislature.","path":["OK Code","Title 74"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os74.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"10a7892b097d2e7fd36f1f8ec4c642a48de3e636d3b09ce2dacd21cb08cc0f27","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-6111","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-6113"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
