There is hereby created the Oklahoma Commission on the\n\nStatus of Women. The Commission shall consist of thirty (30)\n\nmembers. The members shall be appointed as follows: ten members\n\nappointed by the Governor, ten members appointed by the President\n\nPro Tempore of the Senate and ten members appointed by the Speaker\n\nof the House of Representatives. All members shall be appointed by\n\nthe appropriate appointing authority for a term of five (5) years\n\ncommencing with the date that the previous appointee's term expired.\n\nIn making such appointments to the Commission, consideration shall\n\nbe given to making the membership broadly representative of the\n\ngeographic areas of the state and the several racial, religious and\n\nethnic groups residing in the state. Each member shall hold office\n\nuntil the successor of the member is appointed and has qualified. A\n\nmember of the Commission may be removed by the appropriate\n\nappointing authority for cause. A member appointed to fill a\n\nvacancy occurring before the expiration of a term of a member\n\nseparated from the Commission for any cause shall be appointed for\n\nthe remainder of the term of the member whose office has been so\n\nvacated. Members of the Commission shall receive no salary, but\n\nshall be entitled to travel reimbursement as provided by the State\n\nTravel Reimbursement Act, Section 500.1 et seq. of this title, from\n\nfunds available to the appropriate appointing authority.\n\nB.
