There is hereby created a special fund to be designated the\n\n\"State Fleet Management Fund\". The fund may be appropriated for and\n\nused for the acquisition, leasing, operation, storage, maintenance,\n\nrepair and replacement of motor vehicles under the control of the\n\nFleet Management Division, the payment of insurance premiums, the\n\npayment of the administrative expenses of the Division in connection\n\nwith the operation of the motor pool, expenses the Office of\n\nManagement and Enterprise Services incurs to support Division\n\noperations, and for expenses associated with constructing,\n\ninstalling, acquiring, and operating alternative fueling\n\ninfrastructure and acquiring alternative fuel vehicles for use by\n\nstate agencies or for leasing and transferring to political\n\nsubdivisions of the state as authorized pursuant to Section 78e of\n\nthis title.\n\nB. At the end of each month the Division shall render a\n\nstatement, on such reasonable basis of mileage or rental as shall be\n\nestablished by the Division, to all state agencies to which\n\ntransportation has been furnished, and all amounts collected shall\n\nbe deposited to the credit of the \"State Fleet Management Fund\".\n\nC. Proceeds from the disposition of motor vehicles or other\n\nproperty owned by the Division shall be deposited to the credit of\n\nthe fund.\n\nD. Payments received by the Office for the lease of alternative\n\nfueling infrastructure and vehicles as provided for in Section 78e\n\nof this title shall be deposited to the credit of the fund.\n\nE. The Fleet Management Division is authorized to maintain a\n\npetty cash fund in such amount not exceeding Two Thousand Dollars\n\n($2,000.00) to make immediate cash payments as are required or\n\nnecessary in the opinion of the Fleet Management Director. Any such\n\ncash disbursement shall be made only by the persons so designated by\n\nthe Fleet Management Director, and only in the payment of claims\n\nauthorized by law.
