It shall be the duty and responsibility of the Oklahoma Task\n\nForce on the Status of African-American Males to:\n\n1. Appoint advisory committees with recognized expertise in the\n\ntargeted areas listed in paragraph 2 of this section;\n\n2. Conduct research to determine the nature and extent of the\n\nproblems concerning African-American males in targeted areas which\n\nshall include, but not be limited to, employment, education,\n\ncriminal justice, social services, health, economic empowerment and\n\nthe media;\n\n3. Hold public hearings for the purpose of collecting data;\n\n4. Identify existing federal, state and local programs that\n\naddress problems and solutions relevant to the targeted areas of\n\nstudy;\n\n5. Develop community education and public awareness programs\n\nespecially designed for African-American males; and\n\n6. Develop strategies to improve the social condition of\n\nAfrican-American males.\n\nB. Staffing for the Task Force shall be provided by the staffs\n\nof the Senate and the House of Representatives.\n\nC. The Task Force may meet or consult with any persons as may\n\nbe able to assist the Task Force in carrying out its duties pursuant\n\nto this act.\n\nD.
