Stat. tit. 74, § 74-8223","heading":"Greenwood Area Redevelopment Authority – Board of","body":"Trustees.\n\nA. There is hereby created the Greenwood Area Redevelopment\n\nAuthority. The Authority shall be an instrumentality of the state.\n\nB. The Authority is created in order to provide a method to\n\nfacilitate the redevelopment of the Greenwood Area.\n\nC. In addition to other responsibilities imposed pursuant to\n\nthe Greenwood Area Redevelopment Authority Act, the mission of the\n\nAuthority shall be to assist in finding methods for other entities,\n\nboth in the private sector and public sector, to promote the\n\ninvestment, reinvestment, development and revitalization of\n\nqualified metropolitan areas.\n\nD. The Authority shall be governed by a board of trustees which\n\nshall consist of twenty (20) members to be appointed or who shall\n\nserve on the board of trustees for the Authority as follows:\n\n1. Two members to be appointed by the Speaker of the House of\n\nRepresentatives, one of whom shall be a legislator from the area of\n\nthe City of Tulsa;\n\n2. Two members to be appointed by the President Pro Tempore of\n\nthe Oklahoma State Senate, one of whom shall be a legislator from\n\nthe area of the City of Tulsa;\n\n3. Two members to be appointed by the Governor;\n\n4. Five members to be appointed by the mayor of the City of\n\nTulsa;\n\n5. The executive director, or a designee, of the Tulsa\n\nMetropolitan Chamber of Commerce;\n\n6. The executive director, or a designee, of the Chamber of\n\nCommerce serving the Greenwood Area;\n\n7. The executive director, or a designee, of the Oklahoma\n\nDepartment of Commerce;\n\n8. The executive director, or a designee, of the Oklahoma\n\nBankers’ Association;\n\n9. Two persons to be selected by the Oklahoma Municipal League\n\nwith the following qualifications:\n\na. a person with experience in the use of venture capital\n\nor seed capital to promote investment or reinvestment\n\nin metropolitan areas, and\n\nb. a person with qualifications deemed suitable for the\n\npurposes of the Authority as determined by the\n\nOklahoma Municipal League;\n\n10. Two persons to be appointed by the board of county\n\ncommissioners of Tulsa County; and\n\n11. The President of Oklahoma State University – Tulsa, or a\n\ndesignee.\n\nE. The Authority shall be authorized to conduct its meetings as\n\nrequired in order to perform the duties imposed upon the Authority\n\npursuant to law. The Authority shall be subject to the provisions\n\nof the Oklahoma Open Meeting Act.\n\nF. A simple majority of the members present shall be required\n\nto approve any actions taken by the Authority.\n\nG.
