Each supervisor employed as of January 1, 1993, by a state\n\nagency, board or commission in the executive branch of state\n\ngovernment, excluding those within The Oklahoma State System of\n\nHigher Education, shall attend, prior to December 31, 1993, a\n\ntraining program for supervisory personnel. The training program\n\nshall be established pursuant to subsection C of this section.\n\nB. Employees appointed to supervisory positions after January\n\n1, 1993, shall complete twenty-four (24) hours of training pursuant\n\nto subsection C of this section within twelve (12) months of\n\nassuming such supervisory position. Thereafter, supervisors are\n\nrequired to complete twelve (12) hours of training pursuant to\n\nsubsection C of this section each year. The appointing authority of\n\neach agency shall ensure each supervisory employee is notified and\n\nscheduled to attend such required training and shall make time\n\navailable for each such employee to complete the training.\n\nC. 1. The Director of the Office of Management and Enterprise\n\nServices shall promulgate any rules necessary to develop and\n\nimplement training programs for supervisory personnel which shall\n\ninclude courses related to the effective performance of an agency\n\nmanager or supervisor. Rules authorized by this subsection shall\n\nrequire supervisors to attend such training within a reasonable\n\nperiod of time determined by the Director.\n\n2. Training programs for supervisors under this section may be\n\napproved by the Office of Management and Enterprise Services;\n\nprovided, however, such programs shall be subject to standards\n\ndeveloped by the Office of Management and Enterprise Services. All\n\nstate agencies, boards and commissions may participate in any such\n\ngovernment employee training program established by an institution\n\nthat is a member of The Oklahoma State System of Higher Education\n\nand approved by the Office of Management and Enterprise Services as\n\nprovided for in this paragraph.","path":["OK Code","Title 74"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os74.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"d364c0899976cf716fb036fd8021373f2f53211eb5200ac83faa7751fab1aeef","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-840-2.9","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-840-3.1a"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
