Stat. tit. 74, § 74-840-8.1","heading":"Social networking and social media policy and","body":"standards – State agencies and political subdivisions.\n\nSocial Networking and Social Media Policy and Standards\n\nA. All state agencies and all political subdivisions of this\n\nstate, shall adopt a social networking and social media policy that\n\nshall apply to the use of social media by state employees and\n\nemployees of any political subdivision of this state to discourage\n\nabusive or offensive online behavior.\n\nFor purposes of this section, the following definitions shall\n\napply:\n\n1. \"Social networking\" or \"social media\" means interaction with\n\nexternal websites or services based upon participant contributions\n\nto the content. Types of social media include social and\n\nprofessional networks, blogs, micro blogs, video or photo sharing\n\nand social bookmarking; and\n\n2. \"Comment\" means a response to an article or social media\n\ncontent submitted by a commenter.\n\nB. The social media and social networking policy developed by\n\neach agency and political subdivision of this state utilizing the\n\nguidelines established in this section shall apply to all state\n\nemployees and employees of any political subdivision of this state\n\nwho utilize social media or social networking networks for work\n\npurposes.\n\nC. Social media and social networking policies developed by\n\neach agency and political subdivision of this state shall discourage\n\nthe sharing of content or comments by state employees and employees\n\nof any political subdivision of this state containing the following,\n\nwhen it is directed at a citizen of the State of Oklahoma:\n\n1. Obscene sexual content or links to obscene sexual content;\n\n2. Abusive behavior and bullying language or tone;\n\n3. Conduct or encouragement of illegal activity; and\n\n4. Disclosure of information which an agency and its employees\n\nare required to keep confidential by law, regulation or internal\n\npolicy.\n\nD. Social media and social networking policies developed by\n\neach state agency and political subdivision of this state in\n\naccordance with the requirements established in this section shall\n\nbe distributed to each affected employee by email.\n\nE.
