Stat. tit. 74, § 74-85.45a","heading":"Legislative intent","body":"It is recognized by this state that the preservation and\n\nexpansion of the American economic system of private enterprise is\n\nthrough free competition, but it is also recognized that the\n\nsecurity and well-being brought about by such competition cannot be\n\nrealized unless the actual and potential capacity of minority\n\nbusiness enterprises is encouraged and developed. Therefore, it is\n\nthe intent of the Legislature that the state ensure that minority\n\nbusiness enterprises are not underrepresented in the area of\n\nprocurement of state contracts for construction, services, equipment\n\nand goods. It is further the intent that this state provide for the\n\naggressive solicitation of minority business enterprises, provide a\n\nfeasibility study on a Small Business Surety Bond Guaranty Program,\n\nprovide other programs targeted for assisting minority business\n\nenterprises in qualifying for state bids, and establish a percentage\n\npreference bid program for minority business enterprises who desire\n\nto participate in such program.","path":["OK Code","Title 74"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os74.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"f677e0c3acd701fd783c13a5d9d3c54189c8fd5ff90de3afeebd844e41702cad","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-85.45","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-85.45b"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
