Whenever any officer, statutory board, commission,\n\ncommittee, department, authority, or any state agent or agency by\n\nwhatever name called, is authorized by any law of this state to\n\npurchase any official bond, surety bond, blanket bond, or surety\n\ncontract upon any state officer or employee, the authority is hereby\n\ntransferred and conferred upon the Purchasing Division of the Office\n\nof Management and Enterprise Services. The authority shall be\n\nexercised by the Purchasing Division in the manner pursuant to the\n\nprovisions and requirements prescribed by Section 85.58A of this\n\ntitle.\n\nB. The premium for a bond will be invoiced to the Purchasing\n\nDivision and paid for by legislative appropriation set aside for\n\nthat specific purpose.\n\nC. If the legislative appropriation is insufficient to meet the\n\ncost of a bond, the State Purchasing Director in conjunction with\n\nthe State Risk Administrator shall assess each entity covered by the\n\nbond a pro rata share of the excess cost amount.\n\nD.
