The Office, with the participation and advice of the\n\nBroadband Expansion Council and approval from the Board, shall\n\nestablish the State Broadband Grant Program. The Program shall\n\ninclude development of competitive grants to be awarded to\n\napplicants seeking to expand access to broadband Internet services\n\nin this state, focusing on areas considered unserved and underserved\n\nby the FCC. The Office, Council, and Board shall examine best\n\npractices in other states to facilitate the framework of the\n\nProgram. The Office shall administer the Program.\n\nB. No grants shall be developed or awarded under the provisions\n\nof this program that would duplicate existing broadband Internet\n\nservices in this state.\n\nC. In the administration of the grant program authorized by\n\nthis section, the Office shall secure service testing data to ensure\n\ngrant recipients provide the service or services proposed by such\n\nrecipients when applying for such grants.\n\nD. All grant awards authorized pursuant to the provisions of\n\nthis section shall include a clawback provision. For purposes of\n\nthis subsection, a \"clawback provision\" shall mean a condition\n\nprecedent to participate in the program whereby a grant recipient\n\nformally agrees to reimburse the program all or part of a grant\n\naward upon the failure of the recipient to fulfill contract terms\n\nincluded in the grant award.\n\nE. There is hereby created in the State Treasury a revolving\n\nfund for the Office to be designated the \"State Broadband Grant\n\nProgram Revolving Fund\". The revolving fund shall be a continuing\n\nfund, not subject to fiscal year limitations, and shall consist of\n\nall monies designated for deposit to said fund. All monies accruing\n\nto the credit of said revolving fund are hereby appropriated and may\n\nbe budgeted and expended by the Office for purposes of awarding\n\ngrants by and through the Office pursuant to subsection A of this\n\nsection and for the operating expenses of the Office.","path":["OK Code","Title 74"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os74.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"af81cb9bbe769fedb61bc25b0da7e16944457cac9c5d42b2ebce953d1cf83c27","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-9208","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-920a"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
