On or before October 31, 2022, and annually thereafter, in\n\naccordance with the FCC Data Collection and Methodology, private\n\nbroadband service providers operating in this state and satellite-\n\nbased broadband private providers that have been designated as an\n\neligible telecommunications carrier pursuant to 47 U.S.C., Section\n\n214(e)(6) for any portion of Oklahoma, hereinafter referred to as\n\n\"private providers\", shall submit to the Oklahoma Broadband Office\n\nthe broadband network area coverage map data the private providers\n\nare required to submit to the FCC pursuant to the federal Broadband\n\nDeployment Accuracy and Technological Availability Act, 47 U.S.C.,\n\nSection 641 et seq. The map data shall be updated annually through\n\na supplemental submission by the private providers that reflects\n\nchanges in area coverage from the preceding year, including updates\n\nthat are the result of incentives and grants created, administered,\n\nor awarded by the Office. The Office is authorized to promulgate\n\nrules for the collection of the broadband network area coverage map\n\nreports from the private providers.\n\nB. On or before October 31 of each year, OneNet, the Office of\n\nManagement and Enterprise Services, the Oklahoma Corporation\n\nCommission, and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation,\n\nhereinafter referred to as \"public entities\", shall submit to the\n\nOffice and the Broadband Expansion Council broadband network area\n\ncoverage map data of all assets and network coverage in the format\n\nrequested by the Office.\n\nC. Private providers and public entities shall disclose to the\n\nOffice the properties they serve and the maximum advertised download\n\nand upload speeds at which they provide any Internet services to\n\nthose properties.\n\nD. The reports and information required to be disclosed\n\npursuant to this section by private providers shall remain\n\nconfidential pursuant to Section 24A.10 of Title 51 of the Oklahoma\n\nStatutes. The Office shall determine the required submission format\n\nof the data submitted under the provisions of this act.\n\nE. On or before December 1 of each year, the Office shall\n\nupdate the statewide broadband services map required by subsection E\n\nof Section 5 of this act using the data collected under the\n\nprovisions of this act in a manner that identifies the assets and\n\nservice areas of the public entities while displaying anonymized\n\ninformation, without reference to any specific private provider, of\n\nthe assets and service areas of private providers.","path":["OK Code","Title 74"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os74.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"5fcb56ea3e021528a17105ec8e6ac762038fe975f5574971edc36ce3a0da3a3a","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-921","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-922.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
