Stat. tit. 75, § 75-307.1","heading":"Legislative rule review – Rule committee – Standing","body":"committee of each house.\n\nA. The Speaker of the House of Representatives and the\n\nPresident Pro Tempore of the Senate may establish a rule committee\n\nor designated standing committee of each such house to review\n\nadministrative rules.\n\nB. Such committees may meet as needed during sessions of the\n\nLegislature and in the interim.\n\nC. The function of the committees shall be the review of all\n\nadopted agency administrative rules and the promotion of adequate\n\nand proper rules by agencies. Each committee may review all adopted\n\nrules and such other rules the committee deems appropriate and may\n\nmake recommendations concerning such rules to its respective house\n\nof the Legislature, or to the agency adopting the rule, or to both\n\nits respective house of the Legislature and the agency.\n\nD. In addition to the review of agency-adopted rules pursuant\n\nto this act, the committees shall have the power and duty to:\n\n1. Conduct a continuous study and investigations as to whether\n\nadditional legislation or changes in legislation are needed based on\n\nvarious factors, including but not limited to review of proposed\n\nrules, review of existing rules including but not limited to\n\nconsideration of amendments to or repeal of existing rules, the lack\n\nof rules, the ability of agencies to promulgate such rules, the\n\nburden of administrative rules on the regulated community and the\n\nneeds of administrative agencies;\n\n2. Conduct a continuous study of the rulemaking process of all\n\nstate agencies including those agencies exempted by Section 250.4 of\n\nthis title for the purpose of improving the rulemaking process;\n\n3. Conduct such other studies and investigations relating to\n\nrules as may be determined to be necessary by the Committee; and\n\n4. Monitor and investigate compliance of agencies with the\n\nprovisions of the Administrative Procedures Act, make periodic\n\ninvestigations of the rulemaking activities of all agencies and\n\nevaluate and report on all rules in terms of their propriety, legal\n\nadequacy, relation to constitutional or statutory authorization,\n\neconomic and budgetary effects and public policy.","path":["OK Code","Title 75"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os75.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"b317f401840e55145aa355634d628d84a63e3416eeb5eaf0650c9225ca5ab4e5","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-75-75-307","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-75-75-308"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
