As used in this section:\n\n1. “Health care provider” means any person or other entity who\n\nis licensed, certified or otherwise authorized by the provisions of\n\nTitle 59 or Title 63 of the Oklahoma Statutes to render health care\n\nservices in the practice of a profession or in the ordinary course\n\nof business;\n\n2. “Health care services” means any services provided by a\n\nphysician or health care provider, or by an individual working under\n\ntheir supervision, that relate to the diagnosis, assessment,\n\nprevention, treatment or care of any human illness, disease, injury\n\nor condition;\n\n3. “Physician” means any person who is a physician licensed,\n\ncertified or otherwise authorized to render health care services in\n\nthis state; and\n\n4. “Volunteer capacity” means health care services provided\n\nwithout remuneration regardless of whether or not the health care\n\nservices are prearranged. Admission without cost to the secondary\n\nschool event does not constitute remuneration.\n\nB. Any physician or health care provider providing health care\n\nservices in a volunteer capacity at a secondary school function in\n\nthis state who renders or attempts to render care to an injured\n\nparticipant who is in need of immediate medical aid shall not be\n\nliable for damages as a result of any acts or omissions except for\n\ncommitting gross negligence or willful or wanton negligence in\n\nrendering the emergency care.\n\nC.
