Stat. tit. 76, § 76-5.7","heading":"Accident or disaster involving hazardous materials -","body":"Immunity from civil liability.\n\nA. Any person who, in good faith and without prior\n\ncompensation, renders emergency care, assistance, or advice at the\n\nscene of an accident or existing or impending disaster involving the\n\nuse, handling, transportation, transmission, or storage of hazardous\n\nmaterials shall not be liable for damages resulting from the conduct\n\nof said person in rendering said care, assistance, or advice unless\n\nsaid damage was caused by the gross negligence of said person. The\n\nprovisions of this section shall not affect the potential liability\n\nthat any person may have which arises from the manufacture,\n\ngeneration, transportation, storage, or handling of any hazardous\n\nmaterials, or of any person who is engaged professionally and\n\ncommercially in rendering said emergency care, assistance or advice.\n\nB. The immunity from civil liability provided for by the\n\nprovisions of this section shall extend only to the actions taken by\n\npersons in rendering care, assistance, or advice at the time of said\n\naccident or existing or impending disaster, and does not confer any\n\nof said immunity to any person for actions taken prior to or after\n\nthe rendering of emergency care, assistance, or advice.\n\nC.
