Stat. tit. 78, § 78-102","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this act:\n\n1. “Performing group” means a vocal or instrumental group\n\nseeking to use the name or another group that has previously\n\nreleased a commercial sound recording under that name;\n\n2. “Recording group” means a vocal or instrumental group at\n\nleast one of whose members has previously released a commercial\n\nsound recording under that group’s name and in which the member or\n\nmembers have a legal right by virtue of use or operation under the\n\ngroup name without having abandoned the name or affiliation with the\n\ngroup; and\n\n3. “Sound recording” means a work that results from the\n\nfixation on a material object of a series of musical, spoken or\n\nother sounds regardless of the nature of the material object, such\n\nas a disk, tape or other phono record, in which the sounds are\n\nembodied.","path":["OK Code","Title 78"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os78.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"cbd5fc20a8294428c561fca64204f2de723eecb8a63228dc23aedfd8c249e449","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-78-78-101","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-78-78-103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
