Stat. tit. 78, § 78-103","heading":"Advertising or conducting live musical performance or","body":"production using false, deceptive, or misleading affiliation,\n\nconnection or association between performing and recording group -\n\nExceptions.\n\nIt shall be unlawful for any person to advertise or conduct a\n\nlive musical performance or production in this state through the use\n\nof a false, deceptive or misleading affiliation, connection or\n\nassociation between a performing group and a recording group. This\n\nsection does not apply if any of the following apply:\n\n1. The performing group is the authorized registrant and owner\n\nof a federal service mark for that group registered in the United\n\nStates Patent and Trademark Office;\n\n2. At least one member of the performing group was a member of\n\nthe recording group and has a legal right by virtue of use or\n\noperation under the group name without having abandoned the name or\n\naffiliation with the group;\n\n3. The live musical performance or production is identified in\n\nall advertising and promotion as a salute or tribute and the name of\n\nthe vocal or instrumental group performing is not so closely related\n\nor similar to that used by the recording group that it would tend to\n\nconfuse or mislead the public;\n\n4. The advertising does not relate to a live musical\n\nperformance or production taking place in this state; and\n\n5.
