Stat. tit. 78, § 78-52","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this act, unless the context otherwise requires:\n\n1. \"Article\" means a product as distinguished from a trademark,\n\nlabel, or distinctive dress in packaging;\n\n2. \"Certification mark\" means a mark used in connection with\n\nthe goods or services of a person other than the certifier to\n\nindicate geographic origin, material, mode of manufacture, quality,\n\naccuracy or other characteristics of the goods or services or to\n\nindicate that the work or labor on the goods or services was\n\nperformed by members of a union or other organization;\n\n3. \"Collective mark\" means a mark used by members of a\n\ncooperative, association, or other collective group or organization\n\nto identify goods or services and distinguish them from those of\n\nothers, or to indicate membership in the collective group or\n\norganization;\n\n4. \"Directory assistance\" means the disclosure of telephone\n\nnumber information in connection with an identified telephone\n\nservice subscriber by means of a live operator or automated service;\n\n5. \"Local telephone directory\" means a telephone classified\n\nadvertising directory or the business section of a telephone\n\ndirectory that is distributed by a telephone company or directory\n\npublisher to subscribers located in the local exchanges contained in\n\nthe directory. The term includes a directory that includes listings\n\nof more than one telephone company;\n\n6. \"Local telephone number\" means a telephone number that has\n\nthe three-number prefix used by the provider of telephone service\n\nfor telephones physically located within the area covered by the\n\nlocal telephone directory in which the number is listed. The term\n\nalso includes 800, 888, other toll free exchange numbers, and 900\n\nexchange numbers listed in a local telephone directory;\n\n7. \"Mark\" means a word, name, symbol, device, or any\n\ncombination of the foregoing in any form or arrangement;\n\n8. \"Person\" means an individual, corporation, business trust,\n\nestate, trust, partnership, unincorporated association, two or more\n\nof any of the foregoing having a joint or common interest, or any\n\nother legal or commercial entity;\n\n9. \"Service mark\" means a mark used by a person to identify\n\nservices and to distinguish them from the services of others;\n\n10. \"Trademark\" means a mark used by a person to identify goods\n\nand to distinguish them from the goods of others;\n\n11. \"Trade name\" means a word, name, symbol, device, or any\n\ncombination of the foregoing in any form of arrangement used by a\n\nperson to identify his business, vocation, or occupation and to\n\ndistinguish it from the business, vocation, or occupation of others.","path":["OK Code","Title 78"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os78.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"ebc513f2549406babdde9d6b477b8021f60c54db245a5206cd32e3b1f8658626","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-78-78-51","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-78-78-53"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
