Stat. tit. 78, § 78-73","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the American Indian Arts and Crafts Sales Act of\n\n1974, unless the context otherwise requires, the following terms or\n\nphrases shall have the following meanings:\n\n1. \"American Indian tribe\" means any Indian tribe federally\n\nrecognized by the Bureau of Indian Affairs of the United States\n\nDepartment of the Interior;\n\n2. \"American Indian\" means a person who is a citizen or is an\n\nenrolled member of an American Indian tribe;\n\n3. \"Imitation American Indian arts and crafts\" means any basic\n\narticle purporting to be of American Indian style, make, origin or\n\ndesign which is not made by American Indian labor and workmanship;\n\n4. \"Authentic American Indian arts and crafts\" means any\n\narticle of American Indian style, make, origin or design which is\n\nmade wholly or in part by American Indian labor and workmanship to\n\ninclude, but not be limited to, any Kachina doll, rosette, necklace,\n\nchoker, barrette, hair tie, medallion, pin, pendant, bolo tie, belt,\n\nbelt buckle, cuff links, tie clasp, tie bar, ring, earring, purse,\n\nblanket, shawl, moccasin, drum, pottery or any visual or performing\n\narts or literature which is not an imitation American Indian art or\n\ncraft; and\n\n5. \"Merchant\" means any person engaged in the sale to the\n\npublic of imitation American Indian arts and crafts or authentic\n\nAmerican Indian arts and crafts.","path":["OK Code","Title 78"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os78.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"2fe0919080a0791670e4fdd794460cc7a86a7aae8ca7e6d80136ef7960fdb19c","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-78-78-72","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-78-78-74"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
