Stat. tit. 8, § 8-16","heading":"Trustees' or directors' powers and duties - Accounts -","body":"Regulations - Payment of debts - Application of lot sale proceeds.\n\nDuties of trustees or directors. The trustees or directors\n\nshall have the direction and control of the cemetery and other\n\nproperty of the corporation and shall have such other powers and\n\nduties not inconsistent with the provisions of this article as the\n\ntrustees or directors of other corporations not for profit under the\n\nlaw of the State of Oklahoma. They shall require a strict\n\naccounting to be kept of all monies received and expended on behalf\n\nof said corporation, look after and manage the affairs and fiscal\n\nconcerns thereof, and see that all proper regulations are made for\n\nthe proper conduct, maintenance and improvement of said cemetery,\n\nand shall also see that the debts and obligations of said\n\ncorporation are paid as fast as the fifty percent of the gross\n\nproceeds of sales of lots, as provided by law, will permit, and\n\nshall also see that the other fifty percent of such proceeds are\n\nstrictly applied to the maintenance, preservation, care and\n\nimprovement of said cemetery, including the payment of the salary of\n\nthe superintendent, and such other help as he may require.","path":["OK Code","Title 8"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os8.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"c48140eda6f8f7fcad9bb99e7230d0b695ac0fbc1f312f07cf091b4e20a7b8b3","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-8-8-15","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-8-8-17"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
