Stat. tit. 8, § 8-208","heading":"Burial agreements","body":"(a) Any burial association may issue a burial agreement\n\ncontaining burial benefits not exceeding twice the burial benefits\n\nprovided in the Articles of Agreement as specified in Section 5 of\n\nthis act, by charging and levying twice the membership fee and\n\nassessments specified therein.\n\n(b) No burial association licensed pursuant to the provisions of\n\nthis act shall issue more than one burial agreement providing a Two\n\nHundred Dollar ($200.00) benefit or more than two burial agreements\n\neach providing a One Hundred Dollar ($100.00) benefit covering a\n\nfamily, or any member thereof; nor issue a burial agreement covering\n\na family, or any member thereof, who are covered by a burial\n\nagreement issued by another burial association and the application\n\nform prescribed by the Board shall contain an interrogatory as to\n\nwhether the family, or any member thereof, is so covered by such an\n\nagreement; provided, however, nothing in this act shall prohibit,\n\nand any burial association is hereby authorized, to issue an\n\nagreement to a family for the purpose of replacing an agreement\n\ntheretofore issued by another burial association, and provided\n\nfurther such in lieu agreement shall at least provide the same\n\nbenefits and coverage to the family as the agreement replaced.\n\n(c) In the event of the death of a person who is covered by more\n\nthan one agreement issued by one burial association the\n\nassociation's liability shall be limited to the providing of a\n\nburial benefit equal to twice the benefit specified in the Articles\n\nof Agreement as provided in Section 5 of this act, regardless of the\n\nnumber of burial agreements issued by the said burial association\n\nand covering such person, and the burial association is hereby\n\nprohibited from providing a burial benefit in excess thereof.
