Stat. tit. 8, § 8-214","heading":"Annual report - Annual license fee","body":"Every burial association doing business in the State of Oklahoma\n\nunder the provisions of Sections 201 et seq. of this title shall,\n\nannually, on or before the last day of June, report under oath of\n\nthe president and secretary of said association to the Oklahoma\n\nState Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors, the total income,\n\nless refunds, received by the association from its member during the\n\npreceding calendar year and shall at the same time pay to the Board\n\nan annual license fee equal to one percent (1%) of the said total\n\nincome, less refunds, as a condition precedent to the issuance of\n\nthe annual license, or the renewal of said license, to the\n\nassociation. The Board may, if it deems that the Oklahoma State\n\nBoard of Embalmers and Funeral Directors Administration and\n\nEnforcement Fund is or will be insufficient to meet the expenses of\n\nthe new license year, increase the annual license fee to an amount\n\nnot exceeding four percent (4%) of said total income. Any burial\n\nassociation failing to make such returns and payments promptly and\n\ncorrectly shall forfeit and pay to the Board in addition to said\n\nfees, the sum of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00). In the event\n\nany such burial association so fails or neglects to make returns or\n\npayments within sixty (60) days, the Board shall notify the burial\n\nassociation and its agents that they have no authority to do\n\nbusiness in the state and the Board shall request the Attorney\n\nGeneral to proceed to collect said fees and penalties and interest\n\nthereon, by an action at law.","path":["OK Code","Title 8"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os8.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"e023d3168463ff719ccea48992499c7ff9e57236dcce8eca8314502c54c6618d","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-8-8-213","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-8-8-215"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
