Stat. tit. 8, § 8-222","heading":"Revocation or refusal to renew agent's license","body":"(a) The Board may revoke or refuse to renew any burial agent\n\nlicense, if, after a hearing held, the Board finds:\n\n(1) That the agent has obtained or attempted to obtain any\n\nburial agent license through willful misrepresentation or fraud.\n\n(2) That the agent has materially misrepresented the terms,\n\nconditions, benefits or effect of any burial agreement, or the\n\nfinancial condition or manner of doing business of any burial\n\nassociation.\n\n(3) That the agent has been convicted, by final judgment, of a\n\nfelony.\n\n(4) That the agent has misappropriated or withheld from a burial\n\nassociation or burial agent any money or property received or\n\ncollected by him for such burial association or burial agent.\n\n(5) Any cause for which issuance the burial agent license could\n\nhave been refused had it then existed and had been known to the\n\nBoard.\n\n(6) That the agent has willfully violated any provisions of this\n\nact.\n\n(b) The holder of any burial agent license which has been\n\nrevoked or renewal refused for cause by the Board, or cancelled by a\n\nburial association, shall surrender the same and the last renewal\n\nreceipt to the Board upon receiving notice of revocation or refusal\n\nor cancellation.\n\n(c) The Board, may, if it finds that extenuating and mitigating\n\ncircumstances exist, issue an order suspending its order of refusal\n\nto renew, or revocation of, any burial agent license and placing the\n\nagent on probation under such conditions and for such period of time\n\nas it deems necessary. In the event the agent violates or fails to\n\ncomply with the conditions of the probation the Board shall, after\n\nnotice to the agent and a summary hearing, have the authority to\n\ncancel the probation and to revoke the burial agent licenses held by\n\nthe agent.\n\n(d) No person shall be issued a burial agent license for a\n\nperiod of three (3) years after the Board has issued an order\n\nrevoking or refusing to renew such person's burial agent license.","path":["OK Code","Title 8"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os8.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"d131bebf7daa25bd15a0082b0c1af7a96801ee5690acab55782284b9ae824b7d","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-8-8-221","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-8-8-223"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
