The consent of this state is hereby given, in accordance\n\nwith Section 8 of Article I of the Constitution of the United\n\nStates, to the acquisition by the United States, by purchase,\n\ncondemnation or otherwise, of any land in this state required for\n\nsites for custom houses, post offices, arsenals, forts, magazines,\n\ndockyards, military reserves, irrigation or drainage projects,\n\nmunicipal water facilities or for needful public buildings.\n\nThe consent of this state is also given to the acquisition of\n\nland by the United States, by condemnation only with the consent of\n\nthe owner, or purchase, gift or exchange, for the purpose of\n\nconsolidation within existing boundaries of national forests within\n\nthis state.\n\nB. Land outside of any incorporated municipality, which is\n\nbeing considered for acquisition by the United States for any other\n\npurpose, whether by fee or easement, may be acquired only after\n\nconsent of a majority of the Legislature of the State of Oklahoma.\n\nC. Any land which has been classified as a wetland by the\n\nSecretary of the Army and which is being considered for acquisition\n\nby fee, over the objection of the landowner, may be acquired only\n\nafter consent of a majority of the Legislature of this state.\n\nProvided, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation and the Oklahoma\n\nTurnpike Authority shall be exempt from this requirement.\n\nD. Any restricted use of land in this state as a result of the\n\nclassification of such land as a wetland by the Secretary of the\n\nArmy shall constitute an acquisition of an easement pursuant to the\n\nprovisions of this section and such easement, if over the objection\n\nof the landowner, may be acquired only after approval of a wetlands\n\nplan by the Legislature of this state which includes just\n\ncompensation by the acquiring authority.\n\nR.L. 1910, § 3190; Laws 1915, c. 46, § 1; Laws 1979, c. 153, § 1,\n\nemerg. eff.
