Stat. tit. 80, § 80-4","heading":"Military reservation ceded - Rights reserved","body":"Exclusive jurisdiction be, and the same is hereby ceded to the\n\nUnited States over all the territory now owned by the United States\n\nand comprised within the limits of the Military Reservation of Fort\n\nSill, in Comanche County, as declared from time to time by the\n\nPresident of the United States, and over such lands as may hereafter\n\nbe acquired for the enlargement of said reservation; provided,\n\nhowever, that the State of Oklahoma reserves the right to serve\n\ncivil or criminal process within said reservation in suits or\n\nprosecutions for or on account of rights acquired, obligations\n\nincurred, or crimes committed in said state but outside of such\n\ncessions and reservation; provided, further, that the State of\n\nOklahoma reserves the right to tax railroad companies and other\n\ncorporations and their franchises and property on said reservation;\n\nand provided, further, that the jurisdiction herein ceded shall\n\ncontinue no longer than the United States shall own and hold said\n\nreservation for military purposes.","path":["OK Code","Title 80"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os80.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"85a3108dc0b0070d465db318e918bb23b98bc71728a43e557b34b31cf0686603","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-80-80-34.6","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-80-80-4.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
