Stat. tit. 80, § 80-41","heading":"Use of names including certain words prohibited","body":"It shall be unlawful for any individual, corporation or\n\npartnership to sell or offer for sale any surplus materials as\n\ndefined in the Act of October 3, 1944, C. 479, 58 Statutes 765,\n\nknown as the \"Surplus Property Act of 1944\", who or which carries or\n\ntrades under, or in any way uses in dealing with the public,\n\ndirectly or indirectly, any name which by reason of the inclusion of\n\na word or words such as \"Army\", \"Navy\", \"United States\", \"Federal\",\n\n\"Treasury\", \"Procurement\", \"G.I.\", or any others which connote the\n\nUnited States Government or its armed forces, or any of its\n\ndepartments or agencies, has a tendency to lead the purchasing\n\npublic to believe, contrary to fact, that the establishment at which\n\nsuch materials are offered for sale has some official relationship\n\nto the United States Government, or that all of the articles sold or\n\noffered for sale are such surplus materials, or that the articles\n\nthere sold are of higher quality and lower prices than those\n\nelsewhere obtainable; provided, however, that this act shall not\n\napply to any corporation all of the stock of which is owned by the\n\nUnited States Government.","path":["OK Code","Title 80"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os80.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"ec599291cc5d0ece1f02d779aa839e1776e068f4a3e43d107c6d3cd91b56062a","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-80-80-4.2","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-80-80-42"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
