Stat. tit. 82, § 82-1084.2","heading":"Definitions","body":"Wherever used in this title the following terms shall have the\n\nrespective meanings hereinafter set forth or indicated, unless the\n\ncontext otherwise requires:\n\n1. \"Pollution\" means contamination or other alteration of the\n\nphysical, chemical or biological properties of any natural waters of\n\nthe state, or such discharge of any liquid, gaseous or solid\n\nsubstance into any waters of the state as will or is likely to\n\ncreate a nuisance or render such waters harmful or detrimental or\n\ninjurious to public health, safety or welfare, or to domestic,\n\ncommercial, industrial, agricultural, recreational, or other\n\nlegitimate beneficial uses, or to livestock, wild animals, birds,\n\nfish or other aquatic life.\n\n2. \"Wastes\" means industrial waste and all other liquid,\n\ngaseous or solid substances which may pollute or tend to pollute any\n\nwaters of the state.\n\n3. \"Waters of the state\" means all streams, lakes, ponds,\n\nmarshes, watercourses, waterways, wells, springs, irrigation\n\nsystems, drainage systems and all other bodies or accumulations of\n\nwater, surface and underground, natural or artificial, public or\n\nprivate, which are contained within, flow through, or border upon\n\nthis state or any portion thereof.\n\n4. \"Person\" means the state, any municipality, political\n\nsubdivision, institution, public or private corporation, individual,\n\npartnership or other entity.\n\n5. \"Board\" means the Oklahoma Water Resources Board.","path":["OK Code","Title 82"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os82.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"0cb607097a45da7788bf9558fedb657a0605fda8ea502c3c47c3fc02319e3658","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-82-82-1084.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-82-82-1085.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
