Stat. tit. 82, § 82-1085.20","heading":"Review of proposed projects or plans - Storage of","body":"surplus water.\n\nIt shall be the duty of the Commission to review any proposed\n\nproject or plan whereby waters of this state are to be collected,\n\nstored or retained for any purpose by any dam, reservoir or other\n\nstructure constructed or caused to be constructed by the United\n\nStates of America or the State of Oklahoma or any agency,\n\ndepartment, subdivision or instrumentality thereof. Whenever it is\n\ndetermined by the Commission after such examination, review and\n\nrecommendation that there are surplus waters in excess of the\n\npresent and future needs of water users of the contributing\n\nwatershed available at the proposed dam and reservoir site for the\n\nfull and optimum development of any dam, reservoir or other storage\n\nsite or location requiring inclusion in such plan or project\n\nprovisions for development of water supplies for domestic,\n\nmunicipal, agricultural, industrial and other purposes, then the\n\nCommission shall notify the responsible agency or department of the\n\nfederal government and the agencies of the State of Oklahoma of its\n\nconclusions and request that the design and specifications of such\n\nproject be constructed to include storage of such water for such\n\nuses.","path":["OK Code","Title 82"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os82.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"bd1174b05e9e0204531fe8c73305a6e9b53a6c5d07e175a90a07b750cae865fe","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-82-82-1085.2","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-82-82-1085.21"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
