Stat. tit. 82, § 82-1085.21","heading":"Agreements with federal agencies - Cost of","body":"reimbursement.\n\nWhenever any project or plan for the construction or enlargement\n\nof any dam, reservoir or other structure includes within its design\n\nand specifications provisions for the development of water supplies\n\nfor domestic, municipal, agricultural, industrial and other purposes\n\nthe Commission is hereby directed to negotiate with the\n\nmunicipalities or other local interests of this state and its\n\nagencies and the federal government or its responsible agency,\n\ndepartment or instrumentality for the purpose of determining the\n\ncost of reimbursing the federal government for the allocated cost of\n\nincluding such municipal, agricultural and industrial water storage\n\nwithin such construction. Any available storage for such purposes\n\nwhich cannot reasonably be used within the present or estimated\n\nfuture firm demands of local users may be contracted for by the\n\nCommission in order to assure the federal government that such added\n\ncost will be provided as authorized by federal law, and that\n\nnecessary funds for any charges shall be paid by the Commission to\n\nthe federal government pursuant to such contract and applicable\n\nfederal law after examination and determination by the Oklahoma\n\nWater Resources Board that such charges are in harmony with existing\n\nfederal law and policy at the time that the projects are built and\n\nthe contracts between the Commission and the federal government are\n\nexecuted. In cases where all necessary costs to provide maximum\n\nconservation storage in a site cannot be contracted for between the\n\nfederal government and the Commission because of limitations on the\n\nparticipation by the federal government, the Commission shall have\n\nthe authority to provide funds covering those costs.","path":["OK Code","Title 82"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os82.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"46e1b6d8bdff4337b39267a2107e9a778ce06f9674f61da89e225fb3b6299c4d","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-82-82-1085.20","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-82-82-1085.22"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
