The State Treasurer of the State of Oklahoma is hereby\n\nauthorized and required to purchase from the Water Conservation\n\nStorage Commission at private sale not to exceed at any one time One\n\nMillion Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,500,000.00) in said\n\ninvestment certificates, or interim investment certificates, as an\n\ninvestment of the public monies in his possession. It shall be the\n\nresponsibility of the State Treasurer to invest only that portion of\n\nsuch public monies as it deems to be more than sufficient to meet\n\ncurrent expenditures payable from public monies. The State\n\nTreasurer is authorized and required to buy, and the Commission is\n\nauthorized and required to sell to the State Treasurer at private\n\nsale, as provided in this section, so many of the investment\n\ncertificates authorized by this act as may be safely purchased for\n\ninvestment of public monies by the State Treasurer without\n\nhandicapping the State of Oklahoma in promptly meeting its\n\nobligations. In event of such sale or sales, the Commission shall\n\ndetermine and fix the rate of interest and investment certificates\n\nso sold shall bear such rate of interest.\n\nB. In the event any or all of the investment certificates are\n\nsold to the State Treasurer under the provisions of subsection A of\n\nthis section and thereafter the uninvested cash on hand and in\n\nsolvent banks should fall short of demand orders on the State\n\nTreasury, it shall be the duty of the State Treasurer to sell such\n\npart or all of the investment certificates as are necessary to be\n\nconverted into cash to meet such demands. The State Treasurer may\n\nsell such part or all of the said investment certificates as the\n\nState Treasurer is so authorized to sell, at private sale, to the\n\nTeachers' Retirement Fund or any other state fund, department or\n\nagency which has available monies to purchase the same, and all such\n\nstate funds, departments and agencies are hereby authorized and\n\nempowered to so purchase such investment certificates.","path":["OK Code","Title 82"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os82.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"389b20a7baba284eaf0a37c3886bfd67e90b79707864da2e37e0cdb0cc8a9b82","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-82-82-1085.23","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-82-82-1085.25"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
