Stat. tit. 82, § 82-1087.2","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this act, unless the context requires otherwise:\n\n1. \"Board\" means the Oklahoma Water Resources Board;\n\n2. \"Operation\" means the performance of weather modification\n\nand control activities pursuant to a single contract entered into\n\nfor the purpose of producing, or attempting to produce, a certain\n\nmodifying effect within one specified geographical area over one\n\ncontinuing time interval not exceeding one (1) year, or, if the\n\nperformance of weather modification and control activities is to be\n\nundertaken individually or jointly by a person or persons to be\n\nbenefited and not undertaken pursuant to a contract, \"operation\"\n\nmeans the performance of weather modification and control activities\n\nentered into for the purpose of producing, or attempting to produce,\n\na certain modifying effect within one specified geographical area\n\nover one continuing time interval not exceeding one (1) year;\n\n3. \"Research and development\" means theoretical analysis,\n\nexploration and experimentation and the extension of investigative\n\nfindings and theories of a scientific or technical nature into\n\npractical application for experimental and demonstration purposes\n\nincluding the experimental production and testing of models,\n\ndevices, equipment, materials and processes; and\n\n4. \"Weather modification\" or \"weather modification and control\"\n\nmeans changing or controlling, or attempting to change or control,\n\nby artificial methods the natural development of any or all\n\natmospheric cloud forms or precipitation forms which occur in the\n\ntroposhere.","path":["OK Code","Title 82"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os82.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"70bb35a04b6b5f44d2b0add626b16b0b02993a6e136b21f78bf37ba4f4d8095f","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-82-82-1087.19","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-82-82-1087.20"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
