Stat. tit. 82, § 82-1267","heading":"Purpose of district - Activities","body":"Public regional water districts may be organized under this act\n\nfor the purpose of engaging in the following activities:\n\n1. Acquiring water rights or acquiring and developing water\n\nfacilities or any interest therein, from any and all available\n\nsources, and storing water in reservoirs or other storage\n\nfacilities;\n\n2. Purifying, treating and processing water;\n\n3. Furnishing water to public agencies and persons desiring the\n\nsame;\n\n4. Transporting and delivering water to public agencies and\n\npersons who are furnished water by the district;\n\n5. Disposing of, processing, treating or transporting sewage or\n\nwastewater or acquiring and developing sewage facilities or any\n\ninterest therein; and\n\n6.
