Stat. tit. 82, § 82-1324.21","heading":"Release of lands from district - Petition - Notice","body":"In the event that landowners within a district desire to\n\nwithdraw from such district, fifty-one percent (51%) of the affected\n\nlandowners or the board of directors by resolution may petition the\n\ncounty commissioners to release those lands from the district. The\n\npetition shall describe by section or fraction thereof and by\n\ntownship and range the lands affected. After a finding that the\n\ngranting of the petition is to the best interests of the affected\n\nlandowners and the district, the board of county commissioners shall\n\nissue a certificate stating that the lands involved are released and\n\nseparated from the district. Full minutes of the hearing shall be\n\nentered in the journal of the board of county commissioners and the\n\ncertificate shall be delivered to the secretary of the district who\n\nshall, within thirty (30) days, cause the records of the district to\n\nbe amended to exclude the lands affected. Notice shall be given, as\n\nprovided in Section 1324.5 of this title, of the filing of a\n\npetition for release of lands as provided herein, fixing the time\n\nand place of hearing, and a copy of said notice shall be sent by\n\ncertified mail to the chairman of the board of directors of the\n\ndistrict in which the said lands are located.","path":["OK Code","Title 82"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os82.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"fe509f58699fa12aacca8b99fb03c859aee6f807753afa950b8ffa7706c561f4","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-82-82-1324.20","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-82-82-1324.22"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
