Stat. tit. 82, § 82-1324.7","heading":"Board of directors - Bylaws","body":"Immediately following the incorporation of the district by the\n\nboard of county commissioners, there shall be a special meeting of\n\nthe owners of land within any such district to select from their\n\nnumber a board of directors and to adopt bylaws for governing and\n\nadministering the affairs of the district. The number of members of\n\nsaid board, not to exceed nine, shall be determined by a majority\n\nvote of those owners of land present. Any original director who\n\nshall fail to subscribe to one or more benefit units and pay the\n\nestablished unit fee for each unit to which he subscribes within\n\nthirty (30) days after entry in the minutes of the board of a\n\ndeclaration of availability of such benefit units for subscription\n\nshall forfeit his office. Those owners of land present at such\n\nspecial meeting may adopt and amend any of such proposed bylaws and\n\nmay propose or adopt additional or other bylaws.
