Stat. tit. 82, § 82-277.1","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Oklahoma Irrigation District Act:\n\n1. \"District\" means an irrigation district, organized under the\n\nlaws of this state, including but not limited to those which have a\n\ncontract with this state or the United States Government, or\n\nagencies thereof, under the reclamation laws for the construction,\n\nmaintenance and operation of an irrigation system;\n\n2. \"Board\" means the board of directors of an irrigation\n\ndistrict;\n\n3. \"Director\" means a director of an irrigation district;\n\n4. \"Assessments\" means any annual or special fee imposed by an\n\nirrigation district for the payment of organization, maintenance,\n\noperating and current expenses, water charges, cost of construction\n\nor improvements, emergency repairs and any other lawful expenditure\n\nauthorized by the directors or the electors;\n\n5. \"Elector\" means any person who is of legal voting age and is\n\nthe owner in fee or the owner of a life estate in at least ten (10)\n\nacres or an undivided interest equaling ten (10) acres of irrigable\n\nland within said district or proposed district, or any trustee for a\n\nbeneficiary or guardian of any ward who owns either in fee or a life\n\nestate in at least ten (10) acres of irrigable land; or an executor,\n\nadministrator or trustee of any estate owning at least ten (10)\n\nacres of irrigable land in said district or proposed district.
