Except for contracts of employment, directors and employees\n\nshall not be interested, directly or indirectly, in any contract\n\nentered into by the district unless the district court of the county\n\nwherein the principal office of the district is located considers\n\nthe contract, the interest of such persons therein and approves the\n\nexecution thereof.\n\nB. Directors and employees shall not:\n\n1. Directly or indirectly accept or request any compensation,\n\ngift, loan, entertainment, favor, or service given for the purpose\n\nof influencing such director and employee in the discharge of his\n\nofficial duties;\n\n2. Directly or indirectly spend district funds or permit any\n\nproperty of the district to be used for political campaigns;\n\n3. Engage in political campaigns in the name of the district;\n\n4. Disclose confidential information acquired by reason of\n\ntheir official positions to any person, group, or others not\n\nentitled to receive such confidential information; or\n\n5. Use confidential information acquired by reason of their\n\nofficial position for their personal gain or benefit.\n\nC. A director shall immediately forfeit his office in the event\n\nhe sues the district for any action, directly or indirectly, related\n\nto the operation of the district.\n\nD. The failure of a director or employee to comply with these\n\nprohibitions shall constitute a willful neglect of duty and shall be\n\ngrounds for removal from office.\n\nE.
